Tenosynovitis is an inflammation of a tendon sheath. One of the commoner sites of trouble is that is of the wrist muscles. It can be caused by injury, infection or constant use of the wrist muscles in piano playing, typing, or some form of labor involving the wrist. The condition is usually treated by splitting the wrist and resting it for a while. Pain can be relieved with aspirin.
